About this site
I was once happy with being a part of photosic and fotothing (were i still am a subscriber though i don't upload photos a long time).
At photosig i was invited to leave .. or left ... because i put one photo in one assignement and the photo waws not considered and so i went comenting all the photos in same conditions and the "owner" didn't like it.. may be they were friends of his. I never tried to make a login again. If you leav administrators behind photosig is a greate place to learn and coment photos. What did bothered me is that if you wanted to upload a photo with important info on it you'd had to make too many steps.
Fotothing is a Photoblog where the picture quality is not as high as photosig but but you can't say the truth about a photo because peolpe can't take it.. even if it is in a contructive way like try this.. or try that.. or try a tripod. But you can find really gr8 pics there too.
Fotothing could read exif info but all the rest had to be writen when uploading a photo. so if you had 5 or 10 pictures with similar tags you couldn't use copy/paste.
I think EXIF is awsome and fell in love with it the first time i saw him so i put a lot of time into it the last year of my life. The info about the picture must be in the picture itself. You cant have a database whenever you want to take photos around.
I built a "ugly" webpage to write exif in the jpg. The website loads all the info into the database reading all the exif. So it takes the same time to load 1 or 1000 pics.
Photoalbum.aminha.tv was born in August 2006 after thinking of a way to take the good experience in photosig and fotothing and trying to make it "bigger".
Photoalbum.aminha.tv was a hard name to take into your mind so i tried a lot of them and they were taken so i took "a-fotografia" (The-photography) .
Its almost all written in english now with some AJAX. I'm liking it and hope you enjoy it too.
